Dragon Boats report

On Sunday, 29-June-08, an intrepid team of 9 + 2 ventured to the disturbed waters of the River Avon at The Boathouse, at Newbridge, Bath, to take on 10 other teams in the Anthony Nolan Dragon Boat Challenge.

Welcome to Bath Canoe Club!

pultweirBath Canoe Club is located in the centre of Bath, on the River Avon. Bath is an historic City, well-known for its Roman archaeology and Georgian architecture, found in the South West of England. It is approximately 20 minutes drive from Bristol and access is easily available from both the M4 and M5 motorways. 


boatsThe club has one of the best clubhouses in the country, thanks to continued support from Bath City Council. The clubhouse has recently been refurbished with new showers and changing rooms with funding from a National Lottery grant. The club has it's own dedicated access to the River Avon and has all the equipment (including over 60 canoes/kayaks) you need to start canoeing. Bath Canoe Club is also the base for the GB Junior WhiteWater Racing squad.

  • Monday night pool session.
  • Wednesday evening and Sunday afternoon river sessions.
  • Free equipment loan to members.
  • Weekend trips away :- placid water, surf, white water, playboating and sea.
  • Training - Qualified coaches aiming to provide ways of attaining BCU certificates (1* to 4* etc.)
  • Active social calender.

 

Anyone (who can swim) can join as a member, both individual and family membership is available.
