New Members
The club is a family orientated club and welcomes new members.
All new members that are novices are expected to take the Club's Introduction to Paddlesport course - this includes all of the British Canoe Union (BCU) new UKCC 1* course, plus some more skills to get members to the skill level for joining Club trips. The training courses are provided by club coaches throughout the summer. More details can be found on the Training Courses page.
Once members have completed the Introduction to Paddlesport course they may take part in the general open club sessions, paddling out from the clubhouse, plus join any club trip that matches their skill level. The club also organises UKCC 2* & 3* courses.
Children are welcome to join in club activities as long as they are supervised by a parent/guardian who also takes part in the activity.
Please note that children younger than 12-13 are generally not large/strong enough to manoeuvre the club boats.
