There has been no relaxation of COVID measures at Porthclais Campsite whilst other sites do have open toilets and showers and so I (and others) have decided to turn our allegiance to another site, www.lleithyrfarm.co.uk . I phoned today and the announcement stated that there are plenty of spaces for campers and no booking is necessary.  My advice is to book in case there is a sudden hot spell; I've booked and a few others have as well.

Slack water (LW) is around lunchtime each day which will be ideal for there-and-back trips.  Not sure the tides suit a circumnavigation of Ramsey.  Skomer may be viable on Fri provided launch from Martin's Haven before 12:00, landing approx 16:00.  The other days launching from any place on the N coast, head east before lunch then back will work.  Sunday offers a launch from Solva and paddle west to Ramsay and back.

The only target time to offer now will be a team briefing on Sat 08:30 at the Lleithyr Farm Campsite.

Due to the expected level of interest following lockdown, attendance is for members only.

Contact  trips officer if you need further info.

You must satisfy yourself that this trip is suitable for you, that you are sufficiently experienced, able and willing to paddle at the advertised level. For detailed guidance, see trip categoristion. If in doubt, seek guidance from the advertised leader before registering.

You must register if you intend to come. Places are restricted in an effort to maintain an acceptable experience ratio amongst participants. If it's full, contact the trip leader to see whether any more places can be made available.

If you change your mind, that's okay! But please contact the trips officer as soon as you know so that someone else can register in your place.

You must bring suitable equipment or make arrangements for someone to bring it for you (eg. kayak). See what to bring.

You are advised to book a club boat, if you need one, please enter your boat of choice on the notice board in the BCC store..   A summary of the clubs Sea Kayaks is here
