A river somewhere but still depends on rain etc. We'll aim for something grade 3ish. Meet at the club to leave by 08.00 there could be more daylight but we still like to have a 50% safety margin on the water.
On average it's about a 2:15 drive. Often with longer shuttles run on a very narrow tractor filled roads. We probably won't be home much before 19:00.
Please register if you intend to come, it has boat carrying details, plus emergency contact details that make it a little easier for the organisers.
What to bring - the usual stuff but not forgetting- Warm paddling kit as it could be cold? A hot drink could be a must have - an unbreakable flask (attached) in the back of your boat. Food - high energy food is best (flapjacks/Mars bars/banana etc. are good) Dry warm clothes to get changed into post paddle.
A home made stick of rock for the organiser.
Transport We share the cost of the fuel (220+ miles so could be around £30-£50 per car). If Wales we'll have the £6.50 toll to pay. Organiser Jon
