Go Canoeing Starter Session, cancelled due to river level.

This is a starter session lasting three hours and will cover a basic introduction to the sport usually in a kayak but canadian canoes or sit-on-tops are also available if you prefer. We hope that you will find it enjoyable and fun. 

This will be run under the new BCU skills syllabus and a Paddlepower Start certificate will be issued. This course is aimed at beginners or those restarting canoeing and will be limited to a maximum of 16 people. 

Adults and children (age 8 and over) are welcome. 

Children under 14 must be accompanied on the water by an adult. We have a Child Protection Policy and code of conduct. 

All canoeing equipment will be provided but you will need your own clothing plus a lightweight anorak and gym shoes. You will get wet so don't wear your best clothes! Please make sure you have dry clothes to change into afterwards.   

Cost, which includes £4 day membership for our insurance, is £15.

There is no parking at the clubhouse. The nearest public car park is at the Podium at the end of Walcot Street. 

Full changing and shower facilities are available in the Clubhouse.
