Exciting Social Paddle !!!
5th November - Fireworks Night.
Join us - All ages, all abilities - this will be such a great evening – Watch the Fireworks Display in the centre of Bath for free!
We plan to paddle the short distance to Pulteney Weir, going down the Rollers at the left side - its not as scary as it sounds !
We will be able to sit in the grandeur of the weir basin and watch the display from our canoes……. Amazing !!
This trip is entirely weather/water level dependant - We will make a confirmation on Wed 2nd on our Club website and the Bath Canoe Club group Facebook page.
Please confirm that you plan to attend on the Facebook page or through the website - I will be preparing mulled wine and warm sausage rolls (meat and veggie) in the clubhouse for your return……
We plan to leave the club house at 5.30pm (in the water, so please arrive in time (5-5.15pm) to get your kit ready and launch). Please dress for the conditions and it will be very helpful for you to have a Hi-Vis bib or belt to wear and a head torch to hand. Break and shake Cyalume sticks will be available to attach to your boats for added visibility.
It will probably be about 7.00 to 7.15pm back at the clubhouse, then we will be there until the wine and sausage rolls run out !
