On Sunday 4 June from 10.30am to 12.30pm there will be a litter pick on the R Avon as part of British Canoeing’s environmental campaign the Big Paddle CleanUp. Yes, we did a local one in March and managed to clear a lot of rubbish and debris along the river from the Clubhouse to Grovesnor bridge. This time we wish to address the problem from Grovesnor bridge towards the A46 bridge. We have all the kit such as pickers, gloves and bags ready, we just need volunteers to come along and support. This can be done in any type of boat or SUP, the more stable the better. Please sign up and support our actions trying to improve the cleanliness and tidiness of the River Avon.
