The BCU Two Star is an improvement award that helps paddlers develop fundamental paddlesport skills on flat water.

The emphasis is on gaining a breadth of experience beyond that covered in our Introduction to Paddlesports (ITP) course, providing a greater understanding of how the paddle, boat and water interact.

Course schedule:

Tuesday evenings from the 10 May to 28 June

Assessment takes place in the final session or may be arranged at a later mutually convenient date if further time is required to consolidate skills.

Sessions run from 6 pm to 9 pm on each day.

Before taking this course you will normally need to have:

- completed the BCU 1* or the Bath Canoe Club Introduction to Paddlesport Course

- experience of paddling two different craft in two different locations

- taken part in two local competitions or two journeys of at least two hours duration.

Adult £75

Junior/Youth (under 18 years) £50

There is an additional fee payable direct to the BCU for your 2* certificate.
