Welcome to Bath Canoe Club

We are located in the centre of Bath, on the River Avon. Bath is an historic City, well-known for its Roman archaeology and Georgian architecture, found in the South West of England. It is approximately 20 minutes drive from Bristol and access is easily available from both the M4 and M5 motorways.

The club has one of the best clubhouses in the country, being housed in an old Organ Factory building. Facilities include segregated changing facilities with showers, as well as a good amount of space to store club & member boats.

In 2011 the club attained Clubmark status; Clubmark was introduced by Sport England to ensure that consistent good practice and minimum operating standards are delivered through all club development, to empower parent(s)/carer(s) when choosing a club for their children.

  • Monday night pool session.
  • Free equipment loan to members.
  • Weekend trips away :- placid water, surf, white water, playboating and sea.
  • Training - Qualified coaches aiming to provide ways of attaining BCU certificates (1* to 2* etc.)

The club is run entirely by volunteers.

New members are welcomed but we expect you either to be BCU 2 star standard or to join one our Introduction to Paddlesport courses. For information on membership see the membership page.
