It's a long trek to C-M but it's always worth it which is why it's a firm favourite. It'll be Low Water is at 09:48 hrs which means that there will be a walk out to the water down the beach but much shorter at the end of the day. It's therefore helpful if you can find a trolley to help get the boats down but this is not essencial.
C-M is a wonderful location which has a sheltered bay with plenty to see and do, and also an excellant base for trips along the Exmoor coastline on a rising tide and passed Ilfracombe on a falling tide. As a location it's a treat in all weathers - well apart from heavy swell and winds.
Aim to be on the water at 11:00hrs. The 10:30 hrs meeting place is the Kiln car park (EX34 0DN, w3w ///worthy.petulant.minority, SS 577 472). There's another car park at https://w3w.com/chainsaw.equipping.palace which is cheaper but very slightly further from the beach. It can be a bit of a walk and so dropping boats off at the beach can be helpful. Recommend trolleys since there is a long carry when the tide is out even a little way, as it may be when we return.
There are no cafe facilities on the route and so ensure you bring food and drink amongst the other essentials.
