Cancelled due to high offshore winds.
The water will feel warm even if the air will be cold! Studland is always a pleasant trip and winter days around Old Harry's rock can be beautiful.
As usual, we plan to meet at Knoll Beach (BH19 3AQ, w3w ///slurred.sensual.afflicted, OS Grid Ref: SZ 033 835) at the National Trust car park, just to the right (south) of the cafe. Aim to be there no later than 09:30 to allow us a full day on the water.
I hope to be able to paddle out to Old Harry and round to Swanage. Do bring a packed lunch since we may not be close to any facilities when we stop for a break.
If you find yourself on the waiting list be patient because I may be able to make more places available. If in doubt contact me.
You are strongly advised to wear a dry suit when paddling in the winter months.
You must satisfy yourself that this trip is suitable for you, that you are sufficiently experienced, able and willing to paddle at the advertised level. For detailed guidance, see trip categoristion. If in doubt, seek guidance from the advertised leader before registering.
You must register if you intend to come. Places are restricted in an effort to maintain an acceptable leader/participant ratio. When the list is full names can still be registered as reserves and the leader will notify you if you may join the trip.
If you want to know more about how trips are conducted see trip routine.
You must bring suitable equipment or make arrangements for someone to bring it for you (eg. kayak). See what to bring.
