The paddle from West Bay to Lyme Regis is a pleasant stretch of the Dorset coast. The aim is to be on the water by 10:30 and so need to be there in good time beforehand.
Head for East Beach Car Park DT6 4EW which is at grid SY 463 903, w3w.co/positions.boats.gliding. There is a slippery slipway within the harbour (NE corner) and it's possible to drop boats off there and trolleys can help with this. Launching from the beach (S of car park) is also fine although negotiating the large sand bank warms you up. I'll define where we should meet in my confirmatory email.
Dry suits are advised for winter paddling since wet suits and cags can be very cold. Do sign up even if you find yourself on the waiting list because I may be able to let you join the trip, dependant on participant skills and weather.
You must satisfy yourself that this trip is suitable for you, that you are sufficiently experienced, able and willing to paddle at the advertised level. For detailed guidance, see trip categoristion. If in doubt, seek guidance from the advertised leader before registering.
You must register if you intend to come. Places are restricted in an effort to maintain an acceptable leader/participant ratio. When the list is full names can still be registered as reserves and the leader will notify you if you may join the trip.
If you want to know more about how trips are conducted see trip routine.
You must bring suitable equipment or make arrangements for someone to bring it for you (eg. kayak). See what to bring.
