The paddle from Seaton to Lyme Regis is another pleasant stretch of the Dorset coast. The aim is to be on the water by 10:30 and so need to be there in good time beforehand.
[07Jan24] Weather update: It looks as though the water will be flat and so a pleasant day on the water. Not much sun and air temp will be cold but very manageable.
There is a low wall along the esplanade (EX12 2XN) where there is expensive parking but it is possible to offload, lift boats over the low wall and then find other parking opportunities. Grid SY 249 898 and w3w Motoring.Ducks.Progress. The kiosk is a good place to meet but check my my confirmatory email.
Dry suits are advised for winter paddling since wet suits and cags can be very cold. Do sign up even if you find yourself on the waiting list because I may be able to let you join the trip, dependant on participant skills and weather.
You must satisfy yourself that this trip is suitable for you, that you are sufficiently experienced, able and willing to paddle at the advertised level. For detailed guidance, see trip categoristion. If in doubt, seek guidance from the advertised leader before registering.
You must register if you intend to come. Places are restricted in an effort to maintain an acceptable leader/participant ratio. When the list is full names can still be registered as reserves and the leader will notify you if you may join the trip.
If you want to know more about how trips are conducted see trip routine.
You must bring suitable equipment or make arrangements for someone to bring it for you (eg. kayak). See what to bring.
