Teignmouth isn't the ideal choice but it should work. The tidal stream is not strong so it would be no problem going against the current in the morning and have a following tide in the later stages of the afternoon. The coast line is very pleasant and you can't see the Torquay sprawl until you're on top of it. It is also a reasonably sheltered section of the coast from all but southerly to easterly winds.
Lower Point Car Park, TQ14 8BW, will be the meeting point for 10:00. The estuary flood starts at 11:12 and so we should be able to ride out on the end of the ebb and return home with the flood.
October paddling welcomes the cold air, although the sea remains reasonably warm. Ensure you dress appropriately, preferably with dry suit and warm clothes beneath or good quality cag over a wet suit. Also, it's unlikely that we'll find an open cafe for lunch so bring food and hot drinks.

You must register if you intend to come. Places are restricted in an effort to maintain an acceptable leader/participant ratio. When the list is full names can still be registered as reserves and the leader will notify you if you may join the trip.
