With the ebb flow in the morning and flood after lunch there is an opportunity to head off west towards, and perhaps beyond, Ilfracombe. If the weather is a little fruity then we can still have some fun in the extensive and often sheltered bay. It is spring tides with a LW of 12:36 so there is a chance of rough water off the headlands which we will need to avoid.
The aim will be to meet at the 09:30 at Lower Kiln car park EX34 0DN is close to the beach, w3w ///worthy.petulant.minority, SS 577 472. There is a cheaper car park at https://w3w.co/package.trades.icebergs but it is small - do call me if you're going to the small car park so I know you've arrived at C-M. It can be a bit of a walk from both car parks and so dropping boats off at the beach can be helpful. Recommend trolleys since there is a long carry when the tide is out even a little way.
Please note that the spring tides and weather conditions may lead to either a different venue being adopted, upgrading to more able paddlers only or cancellation.
