This trip is a gentle passage across Swanage Bay to Ballard Point and then on to Old Harry Rocks. Depending on progress and conditions we may lunch at Old Harry or go on to Studland before returning to Swanage.
Meet at 09:30 (N.B. last day before clocks go back). We launch from Monkey Beach at Swanage, BH19 2FA, W3W ///struts.rebel.able, OS grid SZ033 786. There is short term parking at this point sufficient to offload but full day parking is just up the hill a short way.
Please ensure you have suitable paddle clothing because the cold weather is starting, although the water should still have some summer warmth left.
You must satisfy yourself that this trip is suitable for you, that you are sufficiently experienced, able and willing to paddle at the advertised level. For detailed guidance, see trip categorisation. If in doubt, seek guidance from the advertised leader before registering.
You must register if you intend to come. Places are restricted in an effort to maintain an acceptable leader/participant ratio. When the list is full you can still register on the waiting list and the leader will then notify you if you may join the trip. That notification may be a few days after registration.
You must bring suitable equipment or make arrangements for someone to bring it for you (eg. kayak). See what to bring.
